The California Fortess Fire report is now available through Zone NHD

The Fortress Fire Report is a risk assessment product that California Association of Realtors (CAR) has been promoting to assist residential transactions in areas where defensible space compliance is a concern. Fortress Fire operates as an independent company and is not affiliated with traditional Natural Hazard Disclosure (NHD) providers. CAR has collaborated with the NHD industry to facilitate streamlined ordering capabilities within the standard disclosure process. When a property is identified as subject to California’s AB 38 requirements, a Fortress Fire Report may be requested as part of the transaction. For sellers, obtaining this report can potentially expand disclosure obligations by identifying defensible space or fire-hardening issues that may need to be addressed prior to close of escrow.
